A new trailer for Tim Burton's “Frankenweenie,” his latest animated film for “Disney,” has just been released. You can check it out in full and in HD above.

The director first came up with the idea for the film over 2 decades ago, but Disney turned it down because it considered it too morbid to be family-fare.

It will finally see the light of day this October, in 3D.

“Frankenweenie” is a spin on the well-known story of Dr. Frankenstein and his monstrous creation: Victor is a smart little boy who wants his dead dog, Sparky, back.

Trouble starts not when he actually brings Sparky back from the dead, but when others do so too. A reanimated dog might be pretty harmless, but dinosaurs definitely are not.
