14 DAY TRIAL // Word in the blogosphere has it that producers won’t let Tilda Swinton do interviews to promote her movies because she never checks herself on any topic. In a recent interview, the actress said she once tried to kill her little brother in his sleep.
If the rumor is true, then this is probably what they mean by it. The British actress, known for her incredible talent, androgynous look and outlandish fashion sense, is also the kind of woman who always says what’s on her mind, regardless of what that might be.
Since her latest film, “We Need to Talk About Kevin” is a story about evil in its purest form, the star opened up to The Telegraph about a personal experience when she too came to know evil – because it stemmed from her, Us Weekly reports.
To put it simply, as a child, Tilda tried to kill her younger brother, who was an infant at the time.
“Years ago, when James Bulger was murdered, every newspaper front page was talking about evil. At that point, having suppressed it for years, I remembered when I was four or five, I tried to kill my own brother,” the star recalls.
“He was newly born and I was disappointed, because he was the third boy. That was enough as far as I was concerned,” Tilda goes on to say.
She then goes into the details of what happened and how things eventually turned out in her favor.
“I went into his room to kill him, saw some ribbons from a bonnet going into his mouth, and began to pull them out. And I was discovered saving his life. So I had this strange reputation – my brother’s savior – and no one knew I wanted to kill him,” she adds.
In another recent interview, the British actress made another statement that got her under some fire from fans and media outlets: she said that all mothers, without an exception, dread that they might give birth to the devil when they carry a pregnancy to term, as we also reported.
