14 DAY TRIAL // An avid twitterer and an even more avid attention-seeker (depending on who you ask), Tila Tequila has decided it’s high time for a career change. After trying her hand at reality television, glamour modeling and music, the star will now be focusing on becoming a celebrity blogger – and taking down the most popular blogger of this type at the moment, Perez Hilton, Tila tells PopEater in a recent interview.
Though her name made headlines recently only for claiming she had been engaged to be married to late Johnson & Johnson heiress, Casey Johnson, and for saying later that she was pregnant (only to reportedly fake a miscarriage later), Tila sees a bright future ahead of her. She always knew she’d be a star, she says in the interview, therefore being constantly on celebrity blogs is no strange occurrence to her. Moreover, she plans to become an even bigger star once she successfully makes her own career as a celebrity blogger get off the ground.
“This is my calling. I’m very outspoken, I don’t care what anyone says about me and I will call it out as I feel. So the celebrity gossip blog will just dethrone Perez Hilton,” Tila says of her new ambition. She already has some experience with Twitter. “In my head, in my crazy little head with little creatures running around, I’m just a human being. I’m not going to sugar coat anything. Just because I’m a celebrity or whatever doesn’t mean I have to behave a certain way. As long as I’m not doing anything to hurt people, or harm people, or anything like that, I don’t care,” she adds.
Launching a blog will change things a bit, though, as opposed to how she was on Twitter. “Sometimes I feel like, ‘OK this is good,’ because I feel like they’re really close to you. You’re their friend. But then the con is that they start to become like, ‘Well, you’re my friend now, so when are we gonna start hanging out more? Where do you live, what’s your number?’ Sometimes I do put out way too much personal stuff and that’s how I get in trouble and I bring it upon myself. So I’m starting to backtrack a little bit. That’s why the celebrity gossip blog and all this stuff, it’s like, no more personal stuff about my life,” the star says.
When asked about which celebrity she’d like to interview, Tila says she would never even dream of making contact with the aforementioned Perez, with whom she’s been engaging in online spats for quite a while. She also uses the opportunity to drop a not-at-all-subtle hint as to how he wouldn’t even “fit the screen” because of his weight. Instead, Tila Tequila would love to sit down and have a chat with big names like Edward Norton or Johnny Depp, though one may be excused for saying she’s still a long way to go to get there.
