14 DAY TRIAL // Two weeks after golfer Tiger Woods crashed his SUV on his neighbor’s lawn, smashing into a fire hydrant and then into a tree for reasons that are yet under investigation with the police and amidst speculation that he’s been anything but faithful throughout his marriage, his wife seems to have had enough of the scandal. Elin Nordegren moved out of the house she shared with Woods until just recently and is waiting for this to die down to make a decision about their life together, Times Online informs.
Ever since the crash, no less than eight women have stepped forward to claim having had an affair with the golfer at one point or another during his marriage to Elin. When the first claims started to emerge, Woods himself released an open letter to the media, asking for his privacy to be respected and saying that he deeply apologized to his family for his “transgressions” and whatever harm his actions might have inflicted upon them.
As the eighth woman came out of hiding to tell her story to the tabloids, Elin reportedly got fed up with everything and moved out of her and Woods’ house. “As more women come out of the woodwork alleging affairs with Tiger Woods, and details about his mysterious car crash two weeks ago continue to emerge including that he may have been under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs at the time, it seems his wife has had enough. Elin Nordegren has reportedly moved out of the family’s $2.6 million (£1.6 million) home in Windermere, Florida, where the world No 1 golfer is understood to remain in seclusion after revelations of his extra-marital trysts,” Times writes.
However, Elin didn’t go too far, the same reports say. She seems to have moved in a nearby house, waiting for the scandal to die down so that she and her husband can properly work on their marriage, since the interest of their two children is also at stake. What with the media attention focused on Woods and the much press his recent accident continues to generate, Elin felt that she needed some time apart from him, and away from all the madness, it is being said.
As we also reported at the time, after Woods crashed the car, Elin took him out of the wreckage after breaking the windows with his own golf club. Police documents just emerged say that, upon admission to the hospital, Woods was listed as OD case, with Ambien and Vicodin present in his system. “Also, the same witness stated that the driver was prescribed medication (Ambien and Vicatin [sic]). Impairment of the driver is also suspected due to the careless driving that resulted in the traffic crash,” a subpoena reads.
