14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at EA Sports says that it has no plans to introduce microtransactions, such as the Course Mastery system, in its upcoming Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14.
Mike DeVault, the franchise director working on the golf simulation, tells IGN that, “We’ve taken that system out and are using a more traditional DLC approach.”
Using Course Mastery, gamers had the option of paying a lump sum of real-world money upfront in order to get access to a number of extra courses.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 will have 20 courses as part of the core game package.
EA Sports also plans to launch more via DLC after the game is out, but the team has not offered details.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is set to appear on March 26 in North America and on March 28 in Europe, on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
