The agent of golf superstar Tiger Woods says that the athlete might be ready to work with another company in order to create a new series of sim titles bearing his name.

ESPN quotes him as saying that, “Outside of Madden, you would be hard pressed to find a sports figure that meant as much to a video game company as Tiger meant to EA. But times are changing and EA had to re-evaluate the partnership, and frankly so did we.”

Electronic Arts has announced that it was dropping the collaboration for the next-gen version of its PGA Tour franchise, but has offered no clear reasons.

Fans are speculating that the extramarital affair that affected the image of the athlete was the main reason.

Golfing simulation is still important for EA and more details will be offered before the end of the year.
