Tickle Your Brain While Playing Free Puzzle Game

- Grab your marble and your map making skills and get ready to win

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

Romanian Independent game developers, Brightside Entertainment, have announced the latest edition of the Marble Arena map-making competition, having puzzles as a theme. What is Marble Arena, you might ask yourself. Well, this is a freeware, family-friendly game that looks great and can get quite addictive, as any good game
should.

And since this is a competition, there are prizes involved: 1 of the 6 games in the Prize Bucket, for free. Only the first place winner will get the chance to win a game he chooses, so you'd better get ready to create some really cool maps for this one. And one way to do it would be to read carefully what the game developers want from the maps:

"Challenge your players to carefully plan how they roll their marble around if they want to reach the end of your puzzle in one piece. Leave clues to get your players thinking and to guide them on the right path and place nasty traps for those who don't think twice before rolling once."

But don't worry – if you don't manage do do it or if other map makers fail, you will not be bothered with low quality maps to try and say "bleeah!", because of the recently introduced map-rating system which keeps only the player's favorite maps on top. So go ahead, create and check your skills. Or, if you're not the kind of person who likes building things from scratch, go grab the free version from the Marble Arena official website.

If you would like some more details about this puzzle game, you should know that it offers some smooth 3D graphics and your own marble to control around easy to intricate levels, up and down slippery slopes, mastering physics contraptions such as jump pads, air vents and vortexes. There are several game surfaces like ice, glass, water, sand and tarmac and, of course, a multiplayer mode is available.
