Music fans are in for a treat

Ticketmaster tries yet again to offer music fans all over the world a deal by working together with the iTunes Store to give their customers great promotional opportunities. Those who buy their concert tickets from Ticketmaster.com will receive free of charge one promotional song of their choice from iTunes and a digital music sample of selections from the touring artists they are to see at the concert.

iTunes customers, on the other hand, will gain the possibility of buying concert tickets earlier than the rest of the public if they pre-order their albums. Timing couldn't be better for the two music giants, especially for Ticketmaster, since the summer concerts season is about to begin.

Later this year, another great offer will hit the stands. The Ticketmaster and iTunes collaboration will bring music lovers a gift pack priced at $50, redeemable for credit on iTunes Store and Ticketmaster.com. This new gift pack will be available for purchase in all Target stores.

Looks as though online music sales are in focus these days. The collaboration between Ticketmaster and iTunes Store, two major brands in the music marketplace, was announced shortly after Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, spoke up about music sales and pleaded for no digital rights management (DRM) in an open letter posted on February 6.

This is not the first time iTunes and Ticketmaster join hands. Last year, a similar promo offer for pre-ordered albums disappointed many iTunes customers, as they were not able to buy the concert tickets. Let's all hope they do better this time and that concert goers will get the chance to see their favorite bands and artists live.
