While the retail launch will take months, the media box is up for rent

TiVo Min DVR is a small media playback and content provider that is essentially a set-top box in a very small package.

Retail availability won't come for a few months, but the TiVo extender can reach the homes of potential customers if they have chosen Suddenlink as their cable provider.

In fact, as reported by Zats Not Funny, Suddenlink considers the TiVo Mini a core component of their “any-room” DVR.

Anyone renting the TiVo Mini will get live TV and the ability to play recorded shows and other media stored on a Tivo Premiere DVR.

For those that are confused, TiVo Mini is just a service extender, to enable a second HDTV to access independent cable TV and everything else in the service pack.

Visit Suddenlink for more information on this service and all other offers.
