There are four new full-tower ATC enclosures, some with windows

Mid-tower may be the most common type of desktop case these days, but there will always be a solid customer base for larger PCs, where chassis like the new Rosewill Throne can show what they can do.

Rosewill Throne is a new collection of full-tower cases, though that classification might not be enough to suggest just what the newcomers are good for.

After all, many full towers don't usually have enough room for anything larger than motherboards of the ATX form factor.

The Throne series, however, can hold those, as well as everything smaller (micro-ATX, mini-ITX) and larger (HPTX, XL-ATX, E-ATX, and SSI-CEB).

For those unaware, SSI-CEB is the standard form factor for dual-socket motherboards (boards that can hold two CPUs).

Needless to say, the Throne line cases are quite large, to be able to do that. They measure 232 x 580 x 556 mm (9.13 x 22.83 x 21.88 inches).

There are four variants to the Throne actually. What sets them apart is the color and the existence (or lack thereof) of side windows.

The original is black with a mesh side panel, but there is a white version as well, along with a windowed version colored gunmetal grey and a black one with a window. All four cases weigh 14 kilograms / 30 pounds.

Rosewill Throne come with three external 5.25-inch drive bays (for optical drives, drive cages, fan controllers, water cooler reservoirs, etc.).

They have ten 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays as well, for HDDs (hard disk drives) or SSDs (solid-state drives). Hybrid storage devices are supported too of course (SSHD, HHD). It all depends on the motherboard chosen by whomever buys the case.

Finally, the Rosewill Throne cases have two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports at the front, plus HDA audio jacks. As for cooling, there are two 140mm intake fans, two 140mm top exhausts, one 235 mm fan on the side (intake again, for mash variants) and a 140mm bottom intake. The price is unknown, but surely high.
