A 3-year-old girl from Arizona has become the youngest member of Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world.

Alexis Martin hasn't started kindergarten yet, but she has an IQ of 160, which is well above the average people, who generally have a score of 100 points. So, there is no wonder she was accepted into this global society known for its brain power.

According to MSN, the doctors who tested Alexis said she scored so high they couldn’t even calculate her IQ. They say she is smarter than 99.9% of the world population.

Ian Martin, Alexis' father, said his daughter stands out when it comes to learning new languages and has an exceptional memory.

“Anytime she learns a word and just picks it up through anything, she never ever uses it in the incorrect context, ever,” he said.

He also mentions the family began noticing that something was special about their daughter when she was only one year old.

“From 12-18 months old, we'd be driving around in the car and she would recite her bedtime story from the night before,” states her father. “She didn’t just recite them, she recited them exactly.”

Although she is so intelligent and gifted, Alexis is still a little girl, so her parents are now trying to find the best way for her to socialize and integrate into society. The doctors who tested her say she will never be able to attend a normal school, because she really is different and should be around similar children.

Currently, Mensa has 3,300 members under the age of 18 in the U.S. Alexis is one of them. Another 56,000 adults belong to the society nationwide, according to a spokesperson for the organization.

The agency has three main purposes: to identify and to foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; to encourage research into the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence; and to provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members, according to Wikipedia.
