Motorola is expected to debut the 3rd generation of Moto smartphones this year, and we have already started to get the first details on their specs.

That being said, it looks like the US-based company will launch at least three new Android handsets this year. According to a new report, these smartphones are known with the following codenames: XT1578, XT1585 and XT192A.

Judging from their leaked specs, all three handsets belong to the high-end range. It's also worth mentioning that they appear to be completely different smartphones, even though Motorola launched multiple versions of the same device.

We know that because all three smartphones mentioned earlier are headed to Verizon Wireless, so they must be different devices.

The new lineup will make its debut at Verizon

One thing they have in common is the Quad HD display which supports 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. Also, two of them are powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system, while the XT192A runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

However, since these may not be the final version, there's a high chance that all three smartphones will ship with the same Android 5.1 Lollipop platform right out of the box.

We also know that all three Motorola smartphones will be equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC (Near Field Connectivity). Other than that, there aren't any other details on specs, so we will have to wait until more info emerges in the coming weeks.

According to the person leaking these details on the three unannounced Motorola smartphones, these specs are taken from real devices currently tested in or around Chicago.

Although some would think that these could be new versions of Moto X, Moto G and Moto E, the Quad HD display that is packed in each of these models is throwing us off. Let's hope we get more details on these devices sooner rather than later.
