UK wireless carrier Three UK has announced plans to make some of the latest Sony smartphones out there available for purchase on its network, including the Xperia T.

A highly appealing Android-based smartphone, the Xperia T arrives on shelves with a large 4.55” HD Reality Display that is powered by the Mobile BRAVIA Engine and that is capable of delivering razor-sharp clarity.

Moreover, the device is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core application processor, which delivers great performance capabilities and which enables users to easily switch between apps, games and movies at all times.

Sony’s Xperia T also comes with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a Fast Capture camera that can go “sleep to snap in just over a second.”

The handset is capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, while also enabling users to view high-definition movies on large screens courtesy of HD connectivity.

Xperia T arrives on the market with 16GB of internal memory, while also providing users with up to 50GB of cloud storage via Box.

It also comes with two Xperia SmartTags, which make actions such as opening a calendar or starting the GPS and more simple tasks through simply touching the tags with the handset.

“We’re delighted to offer customers the Sony Xperia T, a premium and stylish smartphone. Packed with the very latest technology and top quality features we’re confident that there’s no need for customers to compromise,” Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three said.

Unveiled at the IFA 2012 show in Berlin, the Xperia T smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It also comes with support for hundreds of thousands of applications that are already available for download through the Google Play Store.

Unfortunately, Three UK hasn’t provided specific info on when the new Sony Xperia T would be launched on its network, but it has added it to its “coming soon” lineup.
