As of this week, British customers looking to purchase the new Nexus 7 slate can acquire it off Three UK as well. The only caveat is that the carrier doesn't offer a connection to its network from the tablet.

At the moment, LTE models can only be purchased from O2 and Google. So those interested, can pick up the new Nexus 7 in Wi-Fi version only. However, the company is advising customers to also add to their shopping cart a MiFi dongle for enjoying Internet connectivity always.

Head of devices at Three, Sylvia Chind made the announcement saying that “The Nexus 7 has incorporated the latest technologies into an affordable tablet that is fast and looks impressive.”

“Combined with a MiFi it’s a great tablet option to make the most of downtime when commuting, whether that’s catching up on work emails or simply playing your favorite game.”

The new Nexus 7 is a 7.02-inch slate featuring a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro coupled with 2GB of RAM, plus Adreno 320 @ 400 MHz graphics. 16GB of storage are offered on board, as well as 2 cameras, Bluetooth, Micro USB with SlimPort enabled. That basically means that HDMI media streaming can be achieved through the microUSB port.

The device ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and can be purchased off Three UK for £200 / $321 / €237 a pop.
