We knew that HTC Sensation, the flagship device from HTC Corporation, was set to arrive in the UK on shelves at various wireless carriers in the country, and it seems that things are starting to become official on the matter.

Following various reports suggesting that the smartphone is about to land at carriers like O2, Orange, Three or T-Mobile, the handset is now available for pre-order directly from Three UK.

The Android-based mobile phone was made available for free on the carrier's £37 a month plan, with the signing of a contract agreement for 24 months, and is said to become available for purchase on June 29th.

The handset was suggested to be on its way to O2's and Orange's networks only in July, when Vodafone loses its exclusivity on the device, but it seems that this might happen sooner than that.

The HTC Sensation can be seen on Three UK's website here, and those who would like to purchase it should head there to learn more on the offering.

The HTC Sensation is the latest flagship Android-based mobile phone from HTC, running under the Gingerbread flavor of the platform and packing a fast 1.2GHz dual-core application processor, along with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

“Meet the super-fast successor to the hugely popular HTC Desire HD. Featuring 4.3" QHD high resolution touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera with auto focus and 2 x LED flash, customizable homescreens plus a 1.2 GHz dual core processor to make everything super quick,” Three UK notes.

“Also boasting HTC Sense v.3 with 3D and the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system with an expandable memory up to 32GB.”

The HTC Sensation also sports the usual set of connectivity capabilities, including WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB, and 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as built-in GPS receiver, and a multitude of sensors.

The mobile phone also offers support for various services from Google, as well as for applications and games available for download through the company's official software portal, the Android Market.
