A recent report made by the Marketing Profs revealed that YouTube is placed on the 12th position in the most visited Internet domains in US top. Although the online video sharing service was beaten by more powerful and famous brands, YouTube grows up a lot and might become a worldwide name soon. According to BizCommunity, MySpace, Yahoo, MSN, eBay and Live Search are among the 11 names that managed to beat YouTube and take the first places in the top. However, YouTube was improved significantly since the Google acquisition and we might see a very powerful solution to conquer the virtual world.

The Mountain View company bought YouTube in October 2006, paying no more than $1.6 billion, an investment that was regarded as a crazy Google move. Contrary to the expectations, the search giant improved YouTube and managed to make it the leader of the online video sharing services with no powerful rival to challenge the company. However, Google was assaulted by a huge number of lawsuits just after the acquisition was officially announced. Daniela Cicarelli, Viacom, Thailand and many other persons or companies, filed complaints against the company, accusing YouTube for copyright infringement and for publishing videos without authorization.

The key to success? Numerous partnerships, several improvements and a huge amount of user generated content uploaded by its users. As you might know, YouTube managed to sign deals with NBA, Chelsea FC, BBC and many other firms to bring more video content on its page. Google sustained there were no more than 1000 partnerships with firms from every corner of the world. Today, YouTube's representatives made an announcement that will surely attract more homemade clips for the product: Google will start paying its uploaders after the company will publish their clips on some sponsored channels.
