The thing about storage units is that they are used in pretty much every device out there that has any measure of sophistication, if only so that the OS/program run by it can be stored on it, and Team Group has just delivered three new industrial-oriented. NAND Flash-based solutions.

NAND Flash storage devices have pretty much made their way to every level of the IT industry, under the guise of such things as memory cards, solid state drives, flash drives, etc.

Team Group has now issued a press release in which it details its three newest series of SSDs, intended for the industrial segment.

They go by the names of P52M01, A22V01, and S25AI1, all of them modeled after the IFM (Industrial Flash Module) SATA SSD.

They utilize the mSATA, Half-Slim and SATA connectivity technologies, respectively, and are supported by multiple operating systems.

This does mean that some of the new Gigabyte motherboards could possibly do something with even the first of the three, but it is unlikely, since these newcomers are industrial models, not consumer ones.

That said, the capacities of the drives range between 8 GB and 32 GB, while the A22V01 line also has a model with 64 GB.

Also, they have MTBF of 1.5 million hours and the ability to withstand vibrations of up to 20G, as well as operational temperature of 0 to 70 degrees Celsius.

Among the uses of the products are as storage solutions for development environments and embedded systems.

What's more, even though they aren't designed for consumer use, they can still very well fit the bill in netbooks (low-end laptops) and even tablets, as well as MIDs (mobile Internet devices).

Unfortunately, while a warranty of 2 years was mentioned, the official release did not have any sort of information on the prices of the SSDs.
