Today, T-Mobile USA and Samsung Mobile announced the launch of three new mobile phones aimed at customers looking for devices with messaging features. All of the three new handsets come with full QWERTY keyboards. The lineup includes the Samsung Gravity 3 and Samsung Gravity T, as well as the Samsung :) (Smiley).

T-Mobile knows the importance of staying connected to friends and family through mobile messaging,” said Paul Cole, vice president, devices and accessories, T-Mobile USA. “With our portfolio of new affordable messaging phones, the whole family is sure to find one tailored to both their needs and desires.”

The new Samsung Gravity 3, Gravity T and Samsung :) are available exclusively through T-Mobile USA and should offer users new messaging capabilities, along with easy web access, so that one can easily stay connected with friends and family. The T-Mobile Social Buzz, a new social networking feature, is also included on each of the new devices, with access to popular destinations.

When not used actively, Social Buzz would run in the background and provide users with pop-up message notifications on the handset's homescreen as soon as updates arrive. When used, the new software solution enables users to access each social networking screen separately or to view an aggregated screen on which messages from all communities are brought together.

“We’re proud to continue the popular Gravity series of devices with sleeker designs and a fully customizable touch screen on the Gravity T, as well as introduce the Smiley with T-Mobile,” said Omar Khan, chief strategy officer for Samsung Mobile. “These three phones each offer top-notch messaging features and multimedia favorites together in one device.”

The Samsung Gravity 3 and Samsung Gravity T add to the already popular Gravity family. The new devices come with slide-out QWERTY keyboards, with support for Exchange and personal e-mail, a complete messaging suite, and calendar and contacts capabilities. The Gravity 3 sports a T9 keyboard and the slide-out, full QWERTY keyboard, while Gravity T comes with a 2.8-inch touchscreen. Each of them packs a 2-megapixel photo snapper, built-in music player, HTML browser, and microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space.

The Samsung :) sports a compact, rounded-edge design, with a slide-up vertical QWERTY keyboard. The new mobile phone comes with a dedicated shortcut for fast access to messaging applications such as (text, picture, video and instant messaging), along with Exchange and personal e-mail capability. The new handset comes with an easy-to-use interface, music player, photo snapper, and with support for additional storage space via memory card.

They can be seen on the wireless carrier's website, and are also available via T-Mobile retail stores and select authorized dealers.
