UK owners of mobile phones running under Google's Android operating system who are interested in downloading and installing a new game on their devices will have the possibility to get three games for free this weekend, the leading mobile game publisher has just announced.

The new promotion will include the company's Android HD games, and will run this week from Friday, July 8th, until Sunday, July 10th.

Three days in a row, for a few hours daily, Gameloft will have one game free for its Android users, the company has just announced.

“This weekend we’re running a very special promotion for all of our Android HD+ fans! On Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July we’ll be making one game FREE each day for a 2 hour period only,” the company announced.

However, there is a catch, the game publisher explains, “You’ll only be able to find out about it by following us on our Facebook and Twitter pages.”

During these three days, at certain times between 10AM and 6PM, the company will publish on its Facebook and Twitter accounts info on the games that will be made available for free for Android devices.

“At certain times on each of these days between 10AM and 6PM, we’ll be publishing a Facebook and Twitter post telling you which Android HD+ title from Gameloft is now completely free to download on our mobile store, and from that point you’ll have a two hour window to download it,” Gameloft explains.

Basically, users will need to follow Gameloft on Facebook and Twitter so as to make sure that they won't miss the deal, and that the free games will soon be loaded on their handsets as well.

The promotion is aimed only at those owners of Android devices who live in the UK, the company announced, adding that users will be able to download the titles only from their web store by pointing the browser on their devices there.
