ASRock decided it was time for some more FM1 motherboards to enter the consumer space, even though it already has a fairly extensive portfolio of such things, as well as Intel platforms.

Many FM1 motherboards have made their way to stores over the past few months, in order to offer new AMD CPUs the feature set they need in order to shine.

As such, it is not surprising to learn that ASRock has finished another set of such products, nor that pricing details were kept secret.

Indeed, the company again performed the well known maneuver of giving prospective buyers all the necessary information they need on a device, with the exception of how much money they will need to part with in exchange for a model.

One micro-ATX platform was developed, dubbed A55M-HVS, while the other two, A55 Pro3 and A55iCafe, are of the ATX variety.

The A55 Pro3 and A55M-HVS have D-Sub and HDMI connectors, while the A55iCafe boasts DVI and D-Sub.

Also, the three have several things in common, like XFast USB, XFast LAN, UEFI Bios, Gigabit Ethernet and different expansion slot, memory slot and storage interface layouts.

The A55 Pro3 has two SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, five SATA 3.0 Gbps ones, a pair of USB 3.0 connectors and eSATA, plus two PCI Express x16 slots with CrossFireX support.

Meanwhile, the A55iCafe and A55M-HVS have six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports each, 5.1 channel audio (the above model has it too) and one PCI Express x16.

For those that want to know what to expect in terms of performance in games and benchmarks, ASRock says that “compared with other A55 motherboard, the ASRock A55 series MB provides up to 50.82% performance boost in 3DMark Vantage (performance mode) test. In terms of Onboard APU Graphics and Dual Graphics Performance items, ASRock A55 Pro3 shows its distinctive test result.”
