Thomson has introduced under its Gyration brand the Gyration 2.
Priced at ~150 USD, the new mouse has a ~9 meter range (30 feet) and a new design. An interesting feature of the device allows potential presenters to use natural hands movements for operating
Gyration 2.

With its elegant contour and new colors, Gyration 2 mouse is a good addition to a presenters tool kit but it's suitable to any home or office environment.

The communication between the mouse/keyboard and the receiver is made through the 2.4 GHz frequency. The radio automatically and continuous selects from 800 channels, to avoid interferences from other products.

"When delivering a corporate presentation or classroom lecture, the presenters primary focus should be about engaging and connecting with the audience, not worrying about whether he has strayed too far from his computer or lost line-of-sight with his controller", said Sharon Vernon, General Manager, Home Networking Accessories, Thomson.

The over the air mouse is based on Thomson's MG1101 technology, which is a low cost dual axis miniature rate gyroscope that is fully self contained, designed for easy integration into human input devices. MG1101 includes also an integrated ADC (analogue tot digital converter) that communicates through a 2 wire serial interface bus.
