Even though, earlier this year, Thomas Beatie, aka the “Pregnant Man,” was getting ready for getting pregnant with his fourth child, it looks like he’s also been keeping busy otherwise as well. He has now managed to drop all the pregnancy weight. Beatie
gave birth to his third child in 2010 and, since then, he’s been working hard on getting back in shape, as a recent photo of him confirms.
For those who are not familiar with the unique and controversial story of the Beaties, one should mention that Beatie was born a woman and, while now legally a man, he retains the female organs that have allowed him to reproduce.
The decision stemmed from learning that wife could not have children. Right now, the couple have three kids.
As noted above, a photo of Beatie in top shape emerged online the other day, causing quite a wave of interest into how he managed to drop all that weight.
TMZ reached out to him for an answer and, as expected, such amazing results didn’t just happen overnight, without him lifting a finger.
“He tells TMZ, it took LOTS of hard work to drop the baby weight... and even some hormones,” the e-zine writes after speaking to Beatie.
In order to get pregnant and fulfill his and his wife’s dreams of a family, Beatie had to stop testosterone injections.
“Beatie – who has given birth to three children – called in to TMZ Live today, telling us, he owes his chiseled bod to good old-fashioned diet and exercise... claiming he eats high protein, low carb and lifts weights. (FYI – his bench is 225)” TMZ reports.
“But hormones helped too. Beatie says he went back on testosterone 4 months ago after his last
pregnancy... and it gave him a HUGE boost in the muscle department,” the e-zine adds.
The recent photo of Beatie in the pool confirms that, since he’s more ripped than ever before.
In the same interview, Thomas also reveals that he has no plans to undergo further surgery (he had a mastectomy and became a man legally) because, as far as he’s concerned, he’s already all the man he can ever be.
