Google is about to introduce a visually-rich display ad, aimed at retailers in particular, which fuses images and large text to highlight products and offers.
The new ad type, dubbed "Circulars" due to their similarity to newspaper and print circulars, will be unveiled later this week.
The similarity continues with the goal of the new Google ads, they are designed to bring people into physical stores.
They act as a dedicated page of their own and feature products, pricing and offers from stores near the users’ location. They're also generated on the fly for each visitor.
Despite the large size and the emphasis on the visuals, the ads will be available on smartphones and tablets as well.
