Ubisoft has already begun teasing its next Assassin’s Creed game, promising that it will be the biggest one the series has seen so far.

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has been around for quite some time, with Ubisoft delighting millions upon millions of action adventure fans from all around the world, especially in the last few years, as it released a new iteration every 12 months.

Now, after Assassin’s Creed: Revelations in 2011, the French company is getting ready for the next installment this year, presumably Assassin’s Creed 3, which is expected to finally bring the series to the present and focus on Desmond Miles.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has now talked with MCV about the next game, as well as the company’s yearly installments in the series and how they’re simply satisfying the huge demand for the franchise.

"Assassin's Creed is an incredible franchise and there are a lot of expectations that it will continue to grow," he said. "We are pleased with our continued success so far: in the US, Assassin's Creed: Revelations was a Top Ten title for the entire calendar year, which shows that the demand is definitely there."

In regards to the future of the series, the company will continue to explore new ideas, and Guillemot promises that the next installment will be the biggest in the series to date.

"We think that delivering regular installments and expanding the brand to other platforms will continue to satisfy the demand, while at the same time attracting new fans,” the executive revealed. “And we're confident that the next installment of Assassin's Creed will be the biggest to date."

Ubisoft is expected to begin sharing some actual details about the next Assassin’s Creed game later this year, probably at this summer’s E3 2012 convention in Los Angeles. Until then, expect to hear some more rumors from various sources or new teases from Ubisoft itself.
