2006 was a busy year... for everybody. Here, at 'Fashion Police', we had everything, from ridiculous outfits to things I wouldn't wear even if my life depended on it, from A-list celebrities looking steaming hot in casual clothes to stars wearing slippers while shopping and, most important of all, slips of all kinds: boobies coming out of dresses and tops, nipples slipping or becoming suddenly visible in the flashlights, asses and genitalia (both male and female, but more of the latter).
We're a couple of days into 2007 and, surprise, surprise!, we didn't have to wait too much for the first nipple slip. The odd thing is that it came from a 'novice', from someone who, other than showing her underwear to the cameras, has kept a low profile in terms of fashion faux pas: Ashley Simpson, Jessica's younger sis.
As she was spending some quality time in Honolulu with a bunch of friends and catching up on her tan, Ashley revealed a more healthy body than before and, hours later, something else - her boob. For those who don't know, after having some work done to her face, Ashley soon started to be considered as the hottest of the Simpson sisters... until people noticed that she was getting too thin for her own good.
Before the rumor that she might have become a prey to the Nicole Richie illness was confirmed, Ashley appeared on the beach and showed off her more plump body. But it was what she did later that will probably get Papa Joe a bit mad: while she was splashing in the water, Ashley's bikini top came off and her breast was fully exposed (second photo).
Seeing that this is her first 'offense' of this type, I think we should give the girl a break, especially as we can all see in the photo she realized what just happened to her and that she was trying to cover herself up before anyone else noticed. So, to conclude, we could say: nipple slips do happen and, as long as they don't happen that often as to become a common practice, we could show some leniency to those starlets who 'commit' them. That's to start the year on a generous and forgiving note...
