Microsoft has already started work on the new Windows 9, even though all eyes are now on the Windows 8.1 Preview scheduled to be unveiled on June 26.

But as far as Windows 9 is concerned, the upcoming operating system is obviously expected to come with a wide array of improvements, including an improved UI that could make it a bit more appealing.

This file manager concept published by DeviantArt user JamesHD2K imagines a potential Windows 9 version of the popular File Explorer that’s already available in Windows 8. The difference is that this concept would be more focused on the Metro UI, while also bringing the libraries in the spotlight.

As I told you a few hours ago, Windows 8.1 will actually dump the pre-defined libraries, but instead will allow users to create their very own after installing the operating system.
