Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" was released back in 2008 and it marked the ascent of Canonical, but users have noticed since then that operating system might need a face lift.
Everyone is looking forward to what the future is going to bring in terms of evolution for the OS interface, whether is about Linux or Windows systems.
We thought that it might be fun to see a concept from 2008, from a designer who envisioned Ubuntu 8.04 looking a lot cooler and almost modern.
It’s interesting to see how close the designer came to what we are using today, like transparency for windows and a beautiful dock at the bottom.
Back in 2008 people said this looks out of place, but now it’s almost normal. If you know any more examples of concepts that turned out to be true, don’t hesitate to leave us a comment.
