Do you have lots and lots of money and you don’t know where to spend it? We have an idea for you in case you’re interested in photography.

How about purchasing a super expensive Leica camera that has been crafted out of the solid material that is titanium?

If you thought Leica cameras were expensive and unattainable, you should check out this new MP model that can be purchased for the mind-blowing price tag of $40,000 / €30,469.

To spice up the story even more, we’ll tell you the Leica MP titanium shooter was actually released back in 2007 in order to celebrate the first anniversary of the Leica Store in Ginza, Tokyo.

The problem was that back then the camera was only made available in Japan, so those rich enough to purchase a $40k camera, would have been forced to jump on a plane and fly out to Japan and get it. Or hope that some Japanese customer would purchase it and then re-sell it.

However, this is a thing of the past now and international big spenders can get a Leica MP of their own via eBay or the Leica Store Miami.

The listing on the Leica Store Miami says the snapper is number 39 out of 150, so as you can see this is a very limited edition device, which is something we have become accustomed to while Leica is concerned.

The camera is also said to be “one of the rarest and most beautiful modern M cameras that Leica has ever produced” and we have to agree it has a certain retro vibe to it. If this is enough for some users to pull $40k out of their pockets, it remains to be seen.

The new Leica MP also brings about a bunch of improvements to the table, like the fact that it weighs less. Everything about the Leica MP screams titanium, including the body and ISO selector.

Leica throws in a bunch of accessories in the bundle, including a Leica Barnack Club card, extra battery cover (slotted), test certificate of authenticity, instruction manual, leather Leica neck strap, inner presentation box, two spare base plate plastic films and original outer box.

The other Leica camera is being sold by 9days Photo & Camera vintage camera specialist located in Hong Kong, which is willing to ship out the product anywhere in the world. So if you have the money to spare, go right ahead.
