Initially scheduled to drop in theaters on February 17, 2012, the McG-directed rom-com / action movie “This Means War” has been pushed forward to February 14, making it the perfect movie for a Valentine's Day date.

“Starting Valentine's Day, we're making war, not love,” Fox president of distribution Bruce Snyder tells The Hollywood Reporter.

“We're armed and ready with the perfect movie. This is a picture that has it all – humor, charm, wit and action – and it plays through the roof,” Snyder adds.

Not to mention that it features three of the hottest stars of the moment: Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon.

As we also noted at the time of the release of the official trailer (above), the film might start off on the wrong premise but, even so, it will most likely become a box office hit.

After all, who wouldn't pay good money to see Bane fight Captain Kirk?
