For the same money, you could get something better

This weekend, we told you that after LG rolled out its G4 flagship, which will probably sell for a pretty high price tag, word surfaced online that the company might be looking to introduce a “lighter” version of the model.

The LG G4c was spotted with a Dutch retailer, but back then, we couldn’t give you any information about specifications and such. However, this week, the LG G4c has leaked in an image and its full specifications have been revealed.

The phone showed up at another online retailer called 0815, which sells its products in Germany. It appears LG will market the phone for a €297 / $337 price tag in Europe. We’re not sure at this point whether the device will make it onto other markets like the US or its availability will be limited to the old continent.

What to expect from the LG G4c

So, for this amount of money, what can you expect to receive from LG? The cheaper version of the G4 will arrive with a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution (294 ppi), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage.

The phone is kept alive by a 2,540 mAh battery, which is of smaller capacity than the one found in the LG G4 (3,000 mAh).

In the photography department, we’re seeing an 8MP frontal camera with LED flash and a decent 5MP selfie snapper living up in front.

The phone will ship out with Android 5.0 Lollipop and will probably have LG’s own UX 4.0 skin plastered on top.

Is the LG G4c worth your money?

Probably not. As you can see, LG is not offering a terribly good deal with this new phone, as for the same amount of cash, users could get a better device.

With this opportunity, we’re taking a moment to remind you that AliExpress has an amazing promotion available only today that offers the ASUS ZenFone 2 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for just $381 / €343.

In contrast to the LG G4c, the ASUS ZenFone 2 arrives with a 5.5-inch 1080p display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) and draws life from an 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor clocked at 1.8GHz. Needless to say, the specs are way better than what LG is throwing in with the Lite version of its flagship.
