This Is What a Windows 8 Start Menu Should Look Like

Sigh...There would be no more live tiles this way, and this is the whole purpose of the new start screen in Windows 8.

no it should no look like this , this is for touch screens and microsoft already gave a start menu for touch windows 8 needs a start menu for desktop mode non touch devices like the start menu of windows 7

Because you like the "Metro" look ?
Don't be so selfish ! Give choices to users.
What if tomorrow it is replaced by something that YOU don't like ?

Who cares about the start menu? I haven't used it in years. Same with our users. Pin to taskbar anyone?

The above concept,looks great,it's graphical & iot's logical.

I could use that on Windows 7 ,thereby having superior features to the Metro look W8 rubbish,assuming that it works of course.

corporate environments may very well NOT want end users to have tiles.

It is as ugly as the Windows 8 Start page.
Flat, ugly basic colors, white icons, etc
It does not bring back Aero nor the Windows 7 chrome and eye candy

I think your windows 8 start menu looks great. I would rather see my desk top than the start screen. Now if someone would put the start button back in and have the metro be able to turn on and off with the start button like a start menu so you can see your desk top that would be ideal. Hope this helps.
