Windows 10 for phones could bring such a feature

How do you know there's a missed call on Lumia devices without Glance screen and without unlocking the phone?

Some Windows Phone devices are still lacking a modern notification system (sure, there is Glance screen, but it's only available on a limited number of Lumia handsets), so all hopes are that Windows 10 could finally bring some innovations in this regard.

It's no secret that there are plenty of concepts out there that envision more or less doable notification systems for Windows Phones, but there's one which not only that makes sense but which would also make devices featuring it look really modern.

A blinking Windows logo on Windows Phone devices would really be a great addition to future handsets, and with Windows 10, Microsoft could finally make it happen.

Some leaked screenshots that reached the web earlier today indicated that Microsoft could add LED support in a future build, but many people believe that Windows phones should be unique, so a blinking Windows logo would be the best choice.

No colors, but still easy to notice

Microsoft's new Windows logo doesn't have multiple colors, as it used to in the good old days, so you wouldn't be allowed to change colors, as is the case right now on BlackBerry and a number of Android devices.

Instead, the blinking Windows logo would still be easy to notice when there's a new SMS, email, or missed call waiting on the phone. What's more, the blinking wouldn't be intrusive at all, and as you can see in our concepts below, it would definitely add a modern touch to an operating system that still struggles to find better ways to compete with Android and iOS.

Obviously, these are just concepts based on ideas coming from Windows Phone users hoping for more in Windows 10, so there's no indication that Microsoft would go for such a fantastic feature in the coming operating system.

But with so many devices lacking Glance screen, let's just hope that such an idea is at least being considered by Microsoft for the rapidly approaching Windows 10.
