The USPTO recently published an Apple patent featuring a strange iPhone design that proposes the use of a curved display and some strange touch-centric controls but, while the invention seems plausible on paper, the end product may not be very practical.

After said patent filing surfaced on the web, tech journalists began envisioning the use of such a futuristic iPhone in real life scenarios.

I'm sure everyone's familiar with the saying “it’s easier said than done.” Well, that’s what this iPhone 6 concept says in fewer words.

Created by designers Matteo Gianni and Nickolay Lamm, the device envisioned above is a physical translation of Apple’s “wraparound” iPhone patent.

Matteo and Nickolay are also the authors of a few translucent iPhone mockups which seem far more likely to materialize in the near future.

While the “wraparound” iPhone certainly looks pretty, it seems bound to remain just a concept, both in our vision, and in Apple’s.
