Larry Rudolph, Britney Spears' manager, wants us to believe that she is 'in control', focusing on her music career and the upcoming album, taking proper care of her two children and definitely NOT drinking and partying too much.
The tabloids say something else. Sure, sometimes they are wrong (like when they stated that Brit Brit checked into rehab first thing on January 1st, under the pretext of suffering from 'exhaustion'), but not always. Then again, a picture is worth a thousand words or, at least, that's what they say.
'She understands what's going on right now, and she calls it her "rocky moment". Britney knows exactly what she needs to do', Rudolph said yesterday, in an interview with 'USA Today'. He also assured her fans that her comeback album would most likely drop in stores in late fall and that a single from it would be released in the summer of 2007.

The manager also went to great lengths to convince the world (and Britney's concerned fans in the first place) that she was not drunk on New Year's Eve, but only very 'tired' and 'falling asleep'. But the strongest point that he strove to make was that Spears was not out of control, that she knew what she was doing and that all her partying was just (paradoxically enough) a way to conquer back all those disappointed fans.
Contradicting each one of his words, Britney came out again last night and had dinner at Dolce. After that, she and her entourage hit Les Deux club (the same one where, right before Christmas she got on stage and stripped to her bra), where she stayed until 2.30 A.M.
As she was making her way to her car (it's good to see the lame hair extensions were left in Vegas), a disheveled and apparently drunk Britney can be heard saying 'I love myself' and then repeating the words until she got into the vehicle. When one of the paparazzi told her that she was 'beautiful', the always kind Britney responded to his courtesy by telling him 'I love you for saying that!'.
