Even though Internet Explorer has been improved quite a lot in the last few years, Microsoft no longer gets angry when someone pokes fun at its in-house browser.

Instead, the Redmond-based technology company agrees that Internet Explorer wasn’t the top choice a long time ago, but it tries to show everyone that IE10 is one of the best browsers in the world with several ads full of irony.

If you look at this chart, on the other hand, seeing Internet Explorer lose market share was actually a good thing, mostly because the murder rate in the United States has also dropped significantly.

Of course, this is nothing more than a pretty smart way to make fun of Internet Explorer, so there’s nothing serious in this chart. And we bet Microsofties are laughing their heads off right now too.

Chart going viral in 3, 2, 1…

For those interested, here are the exact figures in what concerns the "Murder Rates" (between 1970 and 2011), in the United States:

Scroll the page till its bottom, to see the graph.

Anyway, the fact that Internet Sexplorer is constantly losing ground, confronted with other browsers, should worry (and mobilize) the microsoftians. Their "liner" is about to sink. But they are laughing and joking...

I think that ie has been most people's least favorite browser for a long time. I have used it because I had to in my job. In my personal life I choose to use ff and chrome. (chrome tees me off though because I can't override tab width)
