It’s only been one day since Apple went official with the iPhone 6, and companies specialized in luxury products have already started to announce very expensive replicas. Well, not necessarily replicas, but much more expensive versions of popular mobile phones that are already available on the market.

One such company, Amosu, offers exclusive, luxury, limited edition mobile phones. We’re talking about one of the most prestigious luxury mobile phone companies in the world, otherwise Apple wouldn’t have let them sell an iPhone 6.

That being said, Apple fans will be pleased to know that if they didn’t like the iPhone 6 presented yesterday by Tim Cook, they have an alternative, though it will cost them a fortune, literally.

As GSMArena points out, Alexander Amosu has just announced that it’s willing to manufacture a diamond-encrusted iPhone 6 that will sell for “just” £1.7 million (€2.12 million / $2.75 million). And no, committing to a long-term contract will not get you any discounts on this luxury device.

Amosu’s expensive iPhone 6 is encrusted with no less than 6,127 diamonds, plus one massive diamond that’s been cut in the shape of Apple’s logo (but, of course, this is an iPhone, after all).

A less expensive Amosu iPhone 6 version is available too for £2,400

According to manufacturer, the big Apple-shaped diamond has been cut from a 51.29 carat diamond, while the entire iPhone 6 smartphone has a total worth of 6,127 VVS1 diamonds.

But diamonds are not the only expensive material used by Amosu to recreate this iPhone 6. It appears that all those 6k+ diamonds are etched on a chassis made of 18-carat gold.

Although Alexander Amosu has announced this diamond-encrusted iPhone 6 today, potential customers will have to wait a few months if they want to purchase one. Apparently, it takes about two months for the whole manufacturing process, so if you want to order one, keep in mind that our expensive iPhone 6 will arrive at the end of the year.

It’s also worth mentioning that Amosu does not hold stock, as they work on limited edition handsets commissioned individually by customers, which is understandable given the value of one such device.

In the same piece of news, Amosu is also offering the poor ones, who can’t afford the diamond-encrusted iPhone 6, a 24-carat gold-plated version that sells for “only” £2,400 (€3,000 / $3,900) upfront.

Obviously, we expect the full specs of Apple’s iPhone 6 smartphone to be included in the more expensive version made by Amosu as well.
