No longer must you look for a Wi-Fi-equipped camera

There have been some cameras with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or some other form of wireless connectivity, but they cost more than some are willing to pay, and they aren't exactly all that powerful.

Weye Feye decided that people who want a powerful DSLR camera shouldn't be limited to using memory card readers.

That is why it has invented a certain item that bears its very same name.

Said device connects to a DSLR camera through a USB port and acts as a Wi-Fi bridge (802.11n Wi-Fi) for iOS and Android smartphones, tablets or whatever else.

The phone can then be used to initiate distance shots, view footage from the camera in real time (Live View mode), and do everything else a Wi-Fi-capable camera should be able to do.

Sadly, the small item (3.3 x 1.8 x 0.6 inches / 84 x 45 x 15 mm) doesn't come cheap: $332 USD / €250. At least the battery has a good lifespan: 14 hours in Gallery Mode and between 7 and 8 hours in Live View.

Sales will start in September, probably during IFA 2013.
