For some of you who are familiar with the history of the tech industry throughout the ages, the Commodore 64 name might hit very close to home.

This 8-bit home computer got introduced back in January 1982 by Commodore International. The product eventually managed to achieve a lot of fame and made it to the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest selling single computer model of all time. The device sold in an estimated amount of 10 to 17 million units.

Well, if you ever found yourself reminiscing about the good old times, you’ll be glad to know the folks of GivenShape have come up with a device that blends with the new.

Designer Massimo Battaglia decided to do a little Commodore 64 revival, so he came up with a concept illustrating an Android smartphone based on the record breaking device.

Battaglia obviously put a lot of effort in producing these renders and it’s pretty clear he studied the design of the original Commodore 64 very closely and tried to replicate the contours and styling on his fictional handset.

Sadly, the smartphone is not a real product and won’t be up for sale any time soon, but it’s still interesting to check out the project.
