Developer Makes Twitter Look Crystal Clear on Retina Macs

Fed up of how Twitter.app looked on his Retina MacBook Pro, a developer named Deniz Mert Edincik decided to take matters into his own hands and patched up the application to make it look razor sharp on his notebook’s display.

Confirmed as a working solution by several customers, TwitterPatch is available as a free download from this address. The response from Edincik’s followers is overwhelmingly positive, as you can see in the man’s Twitter feed here.

Twitter Inc. is said to have abandoned development on its Mac client, having left the application unpatched for over a year and a half. The company continues to maintain its iOS clients with regular updates and bug fixes.
