Marketed in China, for the time being

Maybe cheapness can be an attraction after all! Judging by how easy the Chinese Yoto fellows managed to gather so many features under the cheap-looking 13 bucks MP3 player, it's not so hard to satisfy the customers, after all.

As they were probably out of materials, the manufacturers decided to make 9mm thin music devices. The best news is that we won't have to dig deeper in our wallets to buy ourselves a decent player.

The design boasts a shocking 2.8 inch 320 x 240 screen, which is "shamefully" capable of playing XviD files, as easy as saying "Yato". Surprisingly, the player comes available in two capacities, 2Gb and 4GB, according to anyone's needs regarding the data storage. And since it sports such an easy-to-swallow price tag, I would definitely go for the 8GB capacity player, given the fact that I even have the possibility to put up to 2GB of TransFlash memory in there, too. What more can I ask?

But the best parts comes now. The Yoto manufacturers thought it might be a good idea to fill the music devices with audio recording capabilities as well as giving the owners the chance to turn their MP3 players into real eBooks, which can be used while listening to your favorite music.

But how would you react if I said that the lowest-end 2Gb version of this complex device is sold at only $52 a pop? Don't get too excited about this. There isn't any official information on whether this player will swim outside the Chinese waters, but if this is the case, some manufacturers should learn a couple of lessons from it.

Too bad they're offering only a 2.8-inch screen size for the eBook. My eyes sore only when I think about that! But who cares about that when looking at this price tag! Ka-ching!
