Since Apple's latest announcement has generated a wave of speculations, the video iPod is back on everybody's lips.

But not everybody is convinced that the leading part in the next show will be played by iPod. ThinkSecret, another Mac site focused on Apple's evolution, believes that the event will star new PowerBook and PowerMac systems.

In fact, ThinkSecret has foretold that these systems will be updated since September. One of the site's arguments backing the hypothesis that Apple won't announce a video iPod, is related to the fact that the last iPod model, iPod nano, has started to cause displeasures because of the display flaws reported by users.

Apple has succeeded to cover everything by announcing that the number of affected units is small and that the company is willing to replace the defective models. Even so, the situation generated by the iPod nano has decreased the company's stocks and has caused all major financial institutions to change their rating.

With the new launching, Apple will try to divert the users' attention from iPod nano, a device which is expected to generate important sales, especially during the holiday season. ThinkSecret informs that the iPod sales haven't reached the expected values and that is why Apple will try to compensate by introducing new PowerBook and PowerMac systems.

Still, let's not forget that Apple is the company of surprises and because of this, the event could be focused on both PowerMac&PowerBook systems and the iPods.
