Should start shipping over the next couple of months

Lenovo decided to update its business-oriented product line, so it went ahead and expanded the more or less well-known ThinkCentre series of PCs, using AMD CPUs.

Lenovo is making good on its status as one of, if not the fastest-growing PC company in the world.

For those that aren't aware, it was back at the start of the second quarter of 2011 that the discovery was made of how Acer had lost third place as worldwide PC supplier to Lenovo. Indeed, Lenovo has become quite the aggressive PC maker.

That said, this very company has completed the newest member of its ThinkCentre series of business desktop computers.

More specifically, the computer is dubbed ThinkCentre M77 and works on an AMD central processing unit.

In fact, there seems to be quite the CPU coverage, as a certain, quite unexpected chip series is part of the possibilities.

While people won't bat an eyelash at seeing an AMD Sempron, Athlon II or Phenom II chip in there, they'll at least raise an eyebrow at the fact that the FX Series is available as well.

For those that don't know, FX is the moniker used for AMD's new (and mostly unreleased) Bulldozer desktop processors.

The ThinkCentre M77 is described in detail on its product page, which is located here.

Whichever CPU happens to be chosen is backed up by up to 16 GB of RAM, meaning that productivity shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

The company also threw in a 1 TB HDD (hard disk drive), a DVD writer, a 25-in-1 card reader, 5.1 channel audio, eight USB 2.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet, plus multi-display support (up to four panels).

Unfortunately, people interested in getting one or more of these will have to wait until next month (October, 2011) or November, since the Asian market and the US, respectively, won't see it up in stores until then.
