A bunch of German thieves armed with nothing more than a car conducted an operation that sounds like something out of a James Bond movie, walking off with €70,000 / $95,000 in stolen Apple devices.

According to a pretty bad Google translation of the n-tv.de report, the thieves followed a truck that was carrying boxed Apple devices, pulled up behind it on the freeway, got out of the car through the sunroof, stepped on the hood, cut the tarp from the truck in front of them, and grabbed the goods.

The whole thing was over in minutes, and the truck driver was completely unaware of what was going on behind him. The thieves reportedly made off with €70,000 / $95,000 worth of iPhones and iPads.

A Romanian TV station created a computer-generated reenactment of the crime (screenshot above).
