Gamers in the Belgium, Luxembourg, or the Netherlands will encounter some problems trying to find PC copies of Assassin’s Creed 3 in stores, as it seems that a truck filled with games for the three countries has been stolen by thieves.

Assassin’s Creed 3 was one of the most anticipated games of the year so you can bet that it got the attention of plenty of nefarious individuals.

While some resorted to stealing just a few copies from stores, a bunch of more ambitious thieves have apparently hijacked a truck filled with copies of Assassin’s Creed 3 in Europe.

According to Dutch site EB, via Kotaku, the truck contained copies of the game destined for the Benelux region, meaning Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the copies had been blacklisted, meaning those who get them won’t be able to authenticate them online.

While regular copies will be shipped in from somewhere else, the truck also contained the limited edition Join or Die versions of the game, which apparently can’t be manufactured once more.
