We can all admit that Arsene Wenger's job at Arsenal throughout the years has been quite exceptional. Taking the side from George Graham, the Frenchman turned it into a winning team whose play is still a unique mark inside European football. The gunners were sole rulers of the Premiership before the "Chelsea dynasty" and reached their first ever Champions League final last season.
One of his greatest players along the years has been, without any doubt, Thierry Henry. That's why
he fought so hard on keeping him at the Emirates Stadium. Wenger practically built his team around Henry and the French striker knows that. And now it's his turn to give his coach a boost.
"
The way he sees the game and the way he wants his players to play. He is unique. It's like when you used to see Ajax, they had this tradition of passing the ball and that's what Arsene has brought here. We did win some ugly games like the FA Cup final against Manchester United; if that was a boxing match they would have stopped the game", told Henry in a Eurosport interview.
He added: "
Everybody has their own way. I don't know if 'boring, boring Arsenal' was fair. They won some stuff too, even playing like that. But now we are winning stuff, playing like this. Arsene has changed the view people have of the club".
Even though Arsenal have had a poor start this season, Arsene Wenger's performances are extraordinary. During his mandate (so far), Arsenal won 7 major trophies in English football, from which 3 of them were Premiership titles. They also maintained a record of undefeated matches throughout the 2003/04 season.
Arsene Wenger managed to lead his squad all the way into the Champions League final - last season. The gunners almost won it, if it weren't for the 2 second-half goals from Barcelona. Arsenal played 80 minutes in 10 men, after Jens Lehmann was sent off for a foul outside the penalty area.
