One could not tell just by looking at The Joker, who's always so energetic, but it turns out a life of crime can prove quite tiring.

Hence the fact that, after entering a home in Hulme, England, a thief decided to take a break from taking people's things without their permission and enjoy a nap on a sofa he found in the living room.

Funnily enough, the thief's slumber was carefully watched by one of the people living in the house.

According to Manchester Evening News, the victim simply assumed that the intruder was friends with his housemate, and did not bother to ask how and why he had wound up inside the home.

It is unclear whether or not he also tucked the thief in, but what is sure is that the clueless victim spent some two hours watching television while the intruder was sleeping next to him on the sofa.

Eventually, the man got up and went to take a shower. When he returned, the visitor was gone.

This might not have been such a big problem if it were not for the fact that, upon leaving, the uninvited guest had taken a mobile phone that was lying on a living room table with him.

The victim eventually got the chance to talk with his housemate, and the two figured out that they had just been robbed.

The burglar is believed to be a man in his early 20s. What's more, he is said to be rather slim, and have short, dark hair, the same source details.

Police officers are now looking for him, and hope to figure out whether he purposely broke into the house and left with somebody else's phone, or if maybe he was just confused and unaware of what he was doing.

“It is unclear how this man has come to be sleeping in the living room – whether he's entered the property by mistake or he is an intruder who has fallen asleep,” a spokesperson for GMP's South Manchester Division said in a statement.

Furthermore, “However, what we are satisfied the victim's phone has been stolen and we are now looking to identify this man and speak to him regarding the incident.”
