Looks like America still can't recover from the Columbine High School massacre, even almost eight years later since it happened. The Columbine massacre has left a serious mark on Americans and has infiltrated even the gaming industry.

Many of you probably know that there is a game out there inspired by the Columbine tragic incident, called Super Columbine Massacre RPG. This game was recently entered in the Slamdance Festival and was selected as a finalist. Here is the Slamdance Festival description for the game:

"Super Columbine Massacre RPG! by Danny Ledonne. USA. This game delves into the morning of April 20th, 1999 and asks players to relive that day through the eyes of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, those responsible for the deadliest school shooting in American history. Using a basic role-playing game (RPG) interface, this game explores the thoughts and actions of two teens bent on blowing it all up. "

Now, Kotaku has the word that the game was pulled from the competition due to extreme pressure from protesters and sponsors. This is the first time in the 13 of Slamdance history that a game is pulled, but this was a necessary decision for the festival to survive as Slamdance president and co-founder Peter Baxter reveals. He told the game's developer, Danny Ledonne that he knows that this decision is "deeply flawed", but absolutely necessary.

You are probably curios about this game, and Softpedia would like to satisfy your curiosity. Super Columbine Massacre RPG is not known for its dazzling graphics as, on the contrary, it has an 80's look. But the back-story is more than interesting, believe me.
