These Two Can't Be Bothered to Behave

While many of us are still wondering if, in the recent months, Pete Doherty's life has been anything else than drugs, scandal, rehab, court hearings, drugs, scandal, rehab, court hearings, ... , he and his lady love, supermodel Kate Moss are back together and doing social events hand in hand.

Last night, the Shockwaves' NME Awards took place in London and, naturally, the organizers had to invite the two trouble-seekers/makers, not necessarily because they are that important for an awards ceremony but because they were named in several categories (Kate was named Sexiest Female, while Pete was nominated for Best Live Band and Best British Band). However, probably no one would have thought that Kate and Pete would put on such a show as to have them evicted of the Hammersmith Palais.

First off, the supermodel was more than shy towards the cameras upon arrival, agreeing reluctantly to pose and dragging Pete by the hand all over the place. But that was only the beginning of the evening: later on, she was seen arguing and yelling at Pete, canoodling with him in the public restrooms and in the back alley and then was found 'slaughtered' on the bathroom floor. The bouncers at the event said they had no other choice left than to escort the two outside, put them in a cab and send them home for the night.

'Pete and Kate were trying to get into the premises' toilets but they were removed by the bouncers and told to go back to their table. Later they were both caught in a dark alleyway at the back of the building. So we got their own security guards to put them in a car and take them home', a source tells the official website for NME. However, the British tabloid 'The Sun' has another reason for which the two were asked to leave: both were under the influence (of drugs, presumably) and were no longer in control of what they did and the way they behaved.

'Pete picked up a spoon off the table and went towards the toilets. We intercepted him and guided him out', a bodyguard told the media, adding that Kate was in a somewhat similar state of mind: 'We were looking for Kate so she could present the award and found her in the toilets looking absolutely slaughtered.' The model was sent home about thirty minutes before she had to go on stage and present an award with Primal Scream.

Obviously, Kate's publicist was not available for comment.
