14 DAY TRIAL // It’s summer and those of us who can’t spare the time to take a quick trip to the seaside or ocean shore, will surely make a quick tour to the local pool during weekends.
While relaxing at the pool herself in the company of her children, photographer Krista Long came with the idea of capturing the twisted and funny postures and faces people make taking off from a water slide.
The whole photo session started out with Long amusing herself at how people made their grand exit on the water slide.
So, she decided to take a few shots for entertainment purposes. She soon realized she could actually make an entire photo series out of these images, so she forsook relaxation in favor of photo taking.
Her subjects' stances vary from quite artistic and gratuitous to odd and twisted, and you can check out the results in the gallery below.
The subjects in the photographs are children, men and women of different ages, who are more or less skilled in the art of diving, but the result is quite refreshing to look at.
The series has simply been entitled “I love summer,” and if you find yourself trying escape the heat outside, even in your mind, have a look at these images.
