Don’t take these “entertainment” apps too seriously

You’d think in this day and age people have come to realize that there’s no such thing as zombies or werewolves. Ghosts, maybe. But not those other two.

Not wanting to step on anyone’s beliefs, I’d really like to dispense some advice regarding three apps I’ve stumbled across in the App Store: Ghost Hunter M2; Werewolf Locator; Zombie Survival Guide Scanner. In a nutshell, don’t buy them!

Granted, only one of them is a paid affair, but none of these apps will help you make it through the day if there's paranormal activity going on around you. Take for instance the description to Ghost Hunter M2:

“Developed by a team of professional engineers, Ghost Hunter M2 is the most advanced ghost detector available.”

As an iPhone user, I feel like I’m being taken for an idiot. Even if ghosts are real, I’m pretty sure a $0.99/€0.89 app – that only uses my phone’s camera – will not be able to show me lost souls searching for redemption.

The disclaimer too is killer:

“This toolkit is designed to aid you, the paranormal investigator, in the identification of unexplained phenomena. However, as advanced as this toolkit is, it cannot prove, or disprove, the existence of paranormal entities (e.g. ghosts). This toolkit is provided for entertainment purposes only. We are not responsible for the use, misuse, or interpretation of this software.”

All this being said, if you want to prank someone or simply have a giggle, I suppose they're ok to install. But if you really believe there are monsters lingering under your bed, these apps will only make you more delusional.

Take some cooking lessons or something to keep your mind off this nonsense.
